The X-Files Love Month is a go!

The people have spoken and we're on for October!
The X-Files is Love is a month-long multimedia celebration of The X-Files where each participant claims a date and then posts some new X-Files related fanworks on their day. This can be fic, graphics, icons, vids, podfic, essays, a memoir of your days in the X-Files fandom, or pretty much anything as long as it's new and original. You can do as little or as much as you want - the day is yours!
You don't even need a Livejournal account to participate. If you have a Twitter account, for example, you can use that to join and post to the community. If you'd rather, the mods can post on your behalf. And if you just want to comment on the entries, anonymous commenting is allowed, or you can log in using any social media account that supports OpenID (for example, Dreamwidth).
This year
xf_is_love will run from October 1-31, culminating with a free-for-all on Halloween. Besides the usual claim-a-day fest (no episode claiming this year),
ruuger and I have also planned some other activities, including another mini-rewatch, which will be announced later.
This year's dates:
Sign Ups start: now
Posting starts: October 1, 2014
Posting ends: October 31, 2014
How To Sign Up
1) Just comment to this post with your name and the posting date you want. Include a second preference, in case your first choice has already been taken.
2) You will be notified to confirm your day (or your backup day). Make sure you join the community so that you can post on your day.
3) Go forth and create.
4) Post on the day you have been assigned.
( List of Days Taken )
All days are claimed and signups are officially closed. Leave a comment on the wait list post if you'd still like a chance to claim a day of your own.
Comments? Questions? Since this is a special once-a-year celebration, we would love to get as many participants as possible, so please advertise the fest to all your X-Phile-friends, anywhere and everywhere that fans of show still congregate. Banner(s) for that purpose will be forthcoming. If anyone would like to make us a new banner, let us know in the ask-a-question comment.
