Never Again - The Picspam! Also Some Icons!

So I think we can all agree Never Again is a pretty awesome episode. Know what else is awesome? This Picspam and the icons that go with it. I'm cutting it because it is large and internet blowing up is not cool. Captioned with my own little summerization of the episode and yeah it's kinda crack!capped





Scully wants a desk. Scully also wants a nametag. Cause fingering Mulder's just isn't doing it for her (Take that where you will). Oh Mulder also says this line.
"Okay, so we’ll have them send down another desk and there won’t be any room to move around her but we can put them really close together face to face, maybe we can play some Battleship."




Mulder then tells Scully he wants her to go to Philidelphia. Scully doesn't want to go. The spirits of Moose and Squirrel tell her character development will happen there and she would rather sit in her apartment, eat ice cream out of the tub and watch Breakfast at Tiffany's. Character development is tiring. Mulder meanwhile is going to Memphis so he can pick up the sheet music for a song he plans to use to woo Agent Scully with to gorge himself in Elvis paraphenalia





Mulder feels bad about his argument with Scully. Tries to call her from the middle of Vancouver's Woods backwaters nowhere. Scully meanwhile can't pick up cause she did go to Philidelphia afterall. She couldn't find her Breakfast at Tiffany's tape anyways. So instead she looks at Tattoos on guys arms. Same dif.



Scully then meets Ed Jerse. A man who's tattoo talks to him - but Scully doesn't know that yet. They make with the goo-goo eyes at each other and Ed asks her out. Scully says no thank you but makes up a good excuse about it. Ed still gives her his card.



Later back in her hotel room Mulder finally gets a hold of Scully. He can't talk for long because he is too busy being fierce right now. Mulder says he wanted to share that special place with her. Scully says case is dead end and has to go make with the sexytimes with Tat boy. Again, Mulder is too busy being fierce as evidenced by the dance to realize that Scully is having serious character development. There is also a lot of UST subtext in their conversation.






Scully then meets Tat boy at his place because dude has no car (say what you want about Mulder but at least he has a car Scully). Tat boy made reservations at a nice restaurant but Scully wants to go to the crummy bar he was drunk at when he decided he wanted the tattoo. They talk about their lives and moving forward and then Scully says one of my favourite lines in the series.
"Who knows? I mean sometimes, I, uh... I’ve always gone around in this, uh ... this circle. It usually starts when an authoritative or controlling figure comes into my life. And part of me likes it, needs it, wants the approval. But then at a certain point, along the way, I just, you know .... (makes a stop motion with her hand. JERSE looks at her questioningly) Okay, umm.... My father was a Navy Captain. I worshipped - - I worship - - the sea that he sailed on. And when I was 13 or so I went through this .... thing (hand gesture), where I would sneak out of my parents house and smoke my mother’s cigarettes. And I did it because I knew that if he found out, he would kill me. And then... along the way, there are other ... fathers."




Tat boy then tells Scully to get a tattoo. So she does. Because she is feeling all impulsively character developy tonight. She then proceeds to make a series of faces that normal people don't make when getting their tattoos. But it's Scully and she's badass so we forgive.



So Tat boy and the new Tat Agent go back to Tat boy's apartment. Tat boy's tattoo starts bleeding through the bandage so Scully starts to take a look. But then some sexual tension happens and because this isn't Mulder, Scully decides it's okay to hook up with him. It is, admittedly, quite hot.





"Hi you've reached the voicemail of Dana Katherine Scully. I can't come to the phone right now cause I'm having sexytimes. If you leave a message I will try and get back to you as soon as the reprocussions hit the fan"
Detectives come to the door to find Scully is just Jerse's shirt and she flashes them her badge and because everyone trusts and likes Scully they give her the down-low on their case. Missing woman, blood in apartment, some not hers, looks like Jerse's. Scully then does some sciencing about and can discover in under 5 minutes that Tat boy has some funky ergot poisoning. Scully calls Mulder but he doesn't pick up before she hangs up.




Tat boy returns. Scully hopes that coffee is decaf and then gets right down to the serious business. Ergot poisoning. They haz it. Tat boy ocnfesses about hearing Jodie Foster's voice and Scully promises they'll go get help.




So Scully goes to get dressed and while she's gone Jerse realizes she called the FBI. Thinking he's toast and egged on by Jodie Foster, Tat boy decides the only course of action is to attack Scully and throw her in the incinerator. Naturally. Reprocussions, meet fan.



Scully wakes up in the room of burnings. Scully yells at Tat boy to take control. So he sticks his arm in the incinerator. Scully pulls him out but his arm is completely burnt. Scully is freaked yo.







Scully and Mulder do some good ol' fashioned UST gazing. Mulder informs her she's set a new record of being in two x-files. Scully is sad because she knows it's going to be another three years before she gets more sexytimes. But at least it will be with a man who has a car and doesn't hear Jodie Foster's voice in his head. In the meantime though, Scully is back to just having to finger Mulder's nameplate. He asks if all of this is because he didn't get her a desk.


She tells him not everything is about him. That it's her life. Then Mulder goes to say something which philes have speculated over for the last 12 years.

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. I've always thought this episode had some really great artisticly brilliant scenes that so often get looked over. Especially that scene at the end with them just both sitting over Mulder's desk, one of my favourite moments in the series.
